The African World (Cape Town, 1925) was the weekly organ of the Western Cape branch of the African National Congress — "the only Weekly National Organ, printed in the English and Bantu languages." Its pages carried the influence of Garvey's U.N.I.A. into South African anti-colonial politics.
A companion collection to The Negro World. These four 1925 issues were photographed by Charles Kurzman from the original held in the National Archives of South Africa, Pretoria, where police had filed them as evidence of "illegal incitement of racial unrest."
